work with obj file in 2.5.1

I´m working on a new project in 2.5.1 where I would love to run text/clips, lighting & generative textures over an obj file - here a field of rocks (see attached).
Is there an option that the content can be used to run directly over the 3d shapes of the obj.file (in my case a stonefield)?
And if so, which parts have to be activated in the left side settings of MM to show the content on the obj properly?
Right now when I select a generative pattern on the object while "Textured" is activated (everything else is off), the object only blinks like in strobe mode, but doesn´t show the generative pattern.

Any help or hint would be great... Thanks!

That's because you don't have texture coordinates specified in your OBJ file, so MadMapper just shows top left pixel of the media you are using. You have to export your OBJ file with texture coordinates (also called "texels" or "uv coordinates").
What software do you use to generate the 3D obj ?
