Modul8 uses a modern architecture fully multi-threaded that separates its work between the GPU and the CPU. It means that there is not only one frame rate. For instance, you can have a movie that starts to slow down, while the rotation of a layer continues to be smooth. This is because the final compositing is not computed in the same thread as the movie decompression and the filter calculation. In a general way, we can say that the priority is always given to the final compositing thread. The target global refresh rate is based on the refresh rate of your video output.
