    Morhping triangle

    by njoyme34 » Tue Feb 06, 2018 11:00 am

    Hi guys !
    I have a little question,
I would like, as for Quad or Circle, distort the 3 points of a triangle via Artnet, but I can not find the solution.
Do you have a tip? thank you !

work around would be a 3 point mask inverted.
But I don't know if it's possible to alter the triangle itself (don't have a MM now at fingertips)

A bit later than planned, you can now download 3.2.3 from our website (official installer) with triangle handles control.

    Hi Matt,
and thank you for updating, that's exactly what I needed.
on the other hand, when I patch my angles to a console dmx, my angles go in all directions, and once having mapped my triangles, impossible to have coherent displacements.
what is the right solution to animate surfaces via dmx?
    Thank you for your answers

is it possible to have a reference point in space?
how to have a relationship between displacement and dmx values?

The input value is a DMX channel (16 bits I suppose). The output is actually in a wide range, and you have to edit it. It's in pixels. You could set your assignment target range from 0-1920 for instance.

    hi matt
in the next version, will it be possible to have a real relationship with the dmx?
when I move a pointer with the mouse (x, y), the dmx values should change with, the faders should move as well.
I do not see myself making video shifts via the GMA2 at the other end of the room, too far and that's not practical.
    thank you !

    hi matt,
it is not yet possible to use "mesh warping" on triangles surfaces?

No. We planned to work in a free surface with mesh warping in the future, but no release plan yet.

    Hi Matt!
Your update is great, moving triangles works perfectly!
I'm having problems again but very special.
If you look at the screenshot, I have an eye made with lines, the patch is correct, it includes a dimmer channel and the 3 RGB channels. Each line is patched separately. And when I change the colors via the color chart of the MA2, the colors are disjointed, some lines turn on and off
    you can watch this excerpt
    www.transfernow.net/129xl638lvfy
I think the software does not handle the DMX in.
    What do you think ?
In addition, some addresses are "blocked" like channel 1 which is the blackout and I can not redefine it. Why ?
In addition, do you think you can make lines in an arc?
Last question, if I have more than 1 universe in Artnet in, how to set the following universes?
I hope a quick answer, and thank you in advance.
MadMapper is excellent, I really like to use it!

    Hi !
Have you activated "Use DMX Fixture" in DMX In preferences ? It should be turned off. That's why channel one handles blackout and that's why you have lines disappearing I think.
Does it fix your issue ?
    Cheers !

    hi matt,
DMX fixture is activated, I do not understand this "block" of some channels.
Regarding line errors, the first 19 work perfectly, and all the following react oddly.

Deactivate the fixture. Does it fix your issues ?
