    MIDI priority

    by Regeller » Sat Apr 21, 2018 4:51 pm

    Hi,
I have a problem concerning MIDI. My setup is: Win10, Magic Visuals->Spout->MadMapper. I have three MIDI-devices attached to control Magic. One KORG nanoKey, one Novation LaunchControl XL through USB and another LaunchControl through an extrenal MIDI-host going into a Fireface which is connected to the PC. This is because only one LaunchControl through USB at a time is recognized by the system.
Now it happens that I loose control over the USB-connected LaunchControl while performing. And I have strong indication that MadMapper is taking over control of this device. Is there anything to do to prevent MadMapper to do so? I would not need MIDI at all for MadMapper. I only use it for controlling Magic. So a simple switch "Ignore MIDI" would be good for me.

    Any advice ist welcome.
    Thanks
    Reinhard

You can disable all MIDI input devices in MadMapper. Start MadMapper without any other MIDI application running. In MM Preferences / MIDI you will see all connected devices, uncheck them all so MadMapper doesn't open it. That should fix.
