Hello garageCube,
My first post, so thank you for letting me into the community.
My question relates to finding the best pipeline from Cinema 4d to Madmapper.
To briefly explain the project. We will be projection mapping onto a 3D surface on the wall. I have the same model as a 3D file and in C4D will build custom VFX such as lighting, textural changes and object animations. Then using MadMapper to 3D calibrate the model to surface and export through a projector. That was my intended method, perhaps there is an easier way?
My problem comes with finding the best process to achieve this result. I have built UV's of the model which I can import into MadMapper as an OBJ, but I am struggling with finding a method to render out all my VFX to match with the model. Is it possible to render out an animation of the UV and include lighting? Or can I bake the VFX from Cinema 4D to add into MadMapper?
Can anyone lend a hand or point me in the right direction to get me started? Hope this makes sense.
Thanks, Alistair
