    Problem with Audio

by La Capria » Mon Feb 18, 2019 12:49 pm

Hi all, i'm working in a new project, it's a installation in a museum, we have 4 videos and 4 projectors (HDMI)

My question is if possible to send audio of each video through each projector via HDMI?

    I'm working with Mac

    thank you

    Hi,
No. Actually MadMapper supports a single audio output device. This device can have 16 audio outputs and using multi-channel audio in your movie you can spread the audio in the space, but you need to edit your movies audio tracks in a video editing software to choose to which output channel you want the audio to play.
However on macOS you can create an "Aggregate" audio device (in Apple application Audio MIDI Setup), where you check your 4 HDMI audio outputs. You will then have a device with 4 (or 8 outputs if it's stereo). You just have to do the editing.
Having an audio routing option in MadMapper would be interesting but we haven't had that many requests. That might be done in a future release.
    Cheers
