    there's no defined "size" actually...

it's a representation that you can trigger the way you want - same idea for your fixtures,

or did I misunderstand what you want to know?

if you want precise sizing of your light canvas, the best option is to create a new projector (name it "Light_Buffer" for instance, and specify its size), but don't assign any real output to it,
instead activate Syphon (or Spout on windows) output.

Then you'll see it appear as a syphon source in your media tab: assign it to your fixture.

Now every regular surface you put in the range of the virtual projector will be mapped to your light fixture.
You can use this technique to composite elements alltogether, blend them, and send them as a single texture to you light fixtures.

    Hope this helps.

It was for processing with syphon.
    Just made it square.

But now my entec USB-> DMX controller is having issue's?! first I thought processing used the device but even when nothing is running madmapper says that the entec is already in use by another program (no programs running)
