    Camera calibration in madmapper?

    by reseraa » Wed Jan 22, 2020 3:11 am

I'm trying to use madmapper as part of my workflow in animating for projection mapping. I'm able to calibrate my .obj to my output in madmapper really accurately, I now need a camera in my 3D scene (Maya or C4D) that matches the output in madmapper.

It makes sense to me that since it's doing all the calculations to figure out the relationship between the .obj and the projector it should be able to save out the information needed to create a camera at the same point in space with the required focal length to match. I've yet to find a way to do this though. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

MadMapper should totally be able to export the resulting camera as a .OBJ !
