Using multiple audio channels to drive visual output

    by syntheticlives » Tue Mar 17, 2020 12:44 am

I'm having trouble figuring out the work flow for using more than 2 channels as an audio driver. I am on a Mac using Soundflower to pipe the sounds between various applications and Madmapper. I set my Madmapper audio preferences to Soundflower 64 channel and did the same in Premiere or Audacity. However, anything beyond channel_1 in my Madmapper audio control settings doesn't seem to find any audio no matter how many tracks I have in Premiere or Audacity. I also exported a multichannel Quicktime file from Premiere and tried to import that in Madmapper, however this didn't seem to work either.

    Any advice? Thanks

    Which version of MadMapper ?
You selected SoundFlower 64 channels as "Audio Input" in MadMapper preferences / Audio ?
What is actually sending audio to SoundFlower ? Do you have any other app to monitor what's coming to the different audio channels ?
