    Using Madmapper for livestream visuals

    by quietshine » Wed Apr 15, 2020 2:22 am

Hello, and thank you in advanced for your help

I'm wanting to run Madmapper for live visuals on a green screen for my livestream through OBS. This is very easy to do with Resolume, but I really love that i can "rent" Madmapper, as opposed to shelling out $1,000 for Resolume. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to do this, amd there doesn't seem to be any internet resources to help me. If anyone could shed any light on this, it would be greatly appreciated

Create a quad surface, put a live video feed on it (through the media panel)
Add a FX to your quad, like Chroma key. Key out your green color.
underneath that surface, create another surface and put any media you like on it.
Then output everything to a desktop window instead of a projector (there's an option for that in the projectors tab).
Then capture that window in OBS

    voila ! dinner is ready

OBS does support spout & Syphon if I'm not wrong.
