Hello, I'm new to MadMapper and the forum. We're doing a proof of concept study for projection mapping a dome where we'd need 6 projectors, therefore 6 HDMI outputs. Can anyone please advise on best practices for presenting the outputs to MadMapper? Something like a couple of Datapath Fx4 units linked together?

We're using it on a brand new Macbook pro 16" with 2TB HDD, 32GB shared memory, and M1 processor.

Our content plan is to use just one 1920x1080-30fps stream of content mapped across all of the projectors. Essentially we will use the 6 projectors to slice up the single frame of content and map it over the dome.

Hey I'm in a similar boat, looking for how to get multiple outputs to 6+ projectors. My setup is using a desktop computer though.

I did find this bit of info over at resolume, which isn't an exact answer but it's better than nothing; I'll be lurking here to see what others come up with.

Datapath FX 4 is great. We tested up to 4 (so 16 screens) on a nVidia 1080 (not even Ti) without problem, so 16 fullHD 60. A 6 years old computer => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwUdfu5LsiU

According to Apple, the MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) specs are :

Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion colors and:
Up to two external displays with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors (M1 Pro) or
Up to three external displays with up to 6K resolution and one external display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors (M1 Max)
So you could use two datapath FX4 or equivalent and get 8 outputs.
