    GL Error

    by Simon_Holden » Mon May 01, 2023 10:13 am

Hi I have recently upgraded to version 5.3.1 and having issues with a lot of materials. I am getting GL Error, Error (circle), Fragment Info ----------- 0(98) : ERROR C3002: call to undefined function "vec4 materialcolorForPixel(vect2);"

    and just a blank output.

Any thoughts what it might be?

I am running a Razer Laptop

    Processor AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX with Radeon Graphics, 3301 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

This issue has not been reported by anyone until now so I suppose it's specific to your setup.

1- Can you check this problem only happens in MadMapper 5.3.1 ? You can download MadMapper 5.2.4 here: https://madmapper.com/myaccount/downloads
2- If the problem is only in 5.3.1. Can you try to quit MadMapper, delete the folder C:\Users\your_login\AppData\Roaming\Garagecube\MadMapper and restart MadMapper.
3- If it doesn't help, please send us a log file. Log files can be accessed via MadMapper menu Tools / Show Log Files

    Hi,
This problem seems very similar to a few reports we had from users using OneDrive. MadMapper stores some files in AppData folder (like media thumbnails cache, some shader code etc.)
This folder path should be is C:\Users\your_login\AppData\Roaming\Garagecube\MadMapper
But if it's handled by OneDrive it might be somewhere else.
It shouldn't be handled by OneDrive, because if OneDrive decides to put some of those files online only, MadMapper will not work properly.
I never seen a computer with MadMapper AppData folder going to OneDrive but two users on support reported they solved their issue by uninstalling OneDrive (or tweaking with it). I have no idea what happens here so I will send you a MadMapper build (on the support ticket) that log more info and we'll know.
    Thanks!
