I regularly run MadMapper in sync with my sequencer which sends clock to MadMapper In, and every time that I boot up MadMapper, I have to remember to switch the Midi Input to MadMapper In. Even though I have disabled every other midi device in the MadMapper Midi preferences, it still defaults to one of these other inputs on boot.

Is there a way to make MadMapper default to MadMapper In on load?

Maybe its just a minor inconvenience but I've forgotten to do it before a show before!

Indeed there's a bug reloading the Global BPM / MIDI Clock / source device. We'll solve that in 5.6.2. Thanks for reporting
