Beta 9: Scenes restart video files

In MadMapper 6 Beta 9 video files restart when a scene is launched. However, if the video file is short, say around 7 seconds, the video file does not restart. Is there a way to tell longer video files to not restart when a scene is launched? If not, why does this work for short clips?
