I had just brief run through. So correct me if I am wrong. I do not see the possibility to add points to the map. Is it only 3 or 4 (quad) corners.
Can we map more complex surface?

ah - you draw a mask with the + and edit it...

yes, use the "+" and you can draw a mask

another question: get the madmapper-output fullscreen.....any idea how this will work? i´m using the demo at the moment (have to wait for my paycheck, hehe).....can the demo-version put out fullscreen or is this a disabled feature in this version?


another nice tip: view - change preview background - its very helpfull if you have a picture of the stuff you want to map content on

Using "Tools | Spacial Scanner", you could event "scan" the image the projector sees; then you will be able to do your mapping without looking at the real scene.

Right now I'm using the demo mode and tried using the spacial scanner with my 5D. Once I capture the image, where do I go from there? I don't see any options to save the image.

In the demo, the image could not be saved.

But the center part of the scanned image will be used as the "preview background". So you will be able to place your "stuff" using this image as a guide.

Could you possibly tell me what other features are not possible in the demo please?

Also, when I try drawing a mask, I don't see it showing up. Is this another feature the demo doesn't contain?

The demo contains all the current features of the normal version except :

- loading/saving a project
- export to SVG/PNF/PDF
- captured projector image is cropped
- saving the captured image
- a watermark is shown on input, output and output preview

To create a mask :
- choose the surface tab (on the left)
- click the last button (add mask)
- click points in output preview or output
- when finished, press Enter
- The mask is drawed black so you should put something "behind" it to see it.

To edit a mask :
- select the mask
- click the edit button : select/edit/create
- delete a point : select, then hit Delete/Backspace key
- add a point : double click on an edge

I have one more question.

I have Modul8 v. 2.6.1 and I am trying to connect Mad Mapper with it. I've tried going to output, but I don't see the Syphon option anywhere.

Any ideas?

you need the new version - 2.6.2

nice stable software. But, can any of the developers confirm or deny that mad mapper will be able to do beziers/ curved lines/ non-primitives any time soon?
