    stretching

    by sadcrew » Tue Sep 20, 2011 11:49 pm

    Hi!

MadMapper is a very promising software, you guys have done a great job!
As I'm discovering it, I was looking for a none stretching option somewhere.
I explain, every shapes I create have an automatic distortion mode of what they contains, it's in some cases not the result I want (specially for some shapes are not on any perspective but just in different proportions).

Anything I missed on the soft or is it planned on future version?

    Cheers,
    SAD

Normally, each quad you create has the same proportion of your input. no distortion should occur by default.
If you want everything to be strictly square, in the master tab you can set the input ratio stretch to 1:1, and any input will be squared.

    Hi Franz,

yes, I get your point, but the stretching hapend when you distort your quad, that's the thing I'd like to avoid. Let's try to explain in an other way, the thing I want is to have some kind of mask, if we see it in that way. There is some mask options in the soft, I could see it. It seems the mask is made to hide some portion of the image, I'd like to do the opposite, reveal just the portion I created without caring of the outside.

Does it make sense for you? Maybe an image showing more would help?

    Cheers

    i see.
This is an inverted mask, that will hide everything except the portion you would want to reveal.
Hopefully we *might* have this feature in the next release of MadMapper.
