Ok I have a bunch of presets. I have media in Modul8. Some MM presets correspond with that media, but when I change from preset to preset (whilst a media transition is happening in M8), it 'snaps'. Any work arounds to make a timed transition in MM (ala smoooooothly from one preset to another)? Does this make any sense?

Yep...got a few of those, but most are 'live and in the open'. Switching when blacked is great....maybe a feature request....

There are many way to do it. One I have done in the past that is fairly simple is masking the outside of the image then copying the mask, invert it and make it slightly smaller. You should now have an outline of the shape. Now any color movement behind these 2 layers will seem to be a line.

what this essentially does is acts as a virtual midi controller so you can set events based on a timeline and add smoothing, precise time based multi-trigger options.
I had an event i did where i needed to switch between presets sometimes within seconds and at exact moments so i automated my whole show on it.

This is one of the best complimentary app you can use to automate your show.
