thanks for the reply

i am also after info to guide me through the steps involved in mapping a building, using madmapper many of the examples seem to presume i have that knowledge already. for example do i need to set up the projector in a fixed spot and then run madmapper, and grid the building then save the image somehow?
or do i need to take a photo of the building to work from. Having never had any mapping experince i feel quite confused.

having the projector in a fixed position is better, although madmapper can easily adapt to the fact that the projector's position might change.
Here are two tutorials related to mapping buildings:

http://1024d.wordpress.com/2011/06/10/m ... -tutorial/

but there are many techniques not limited to these two.
