    Sawtooth edges

    by TRMTRM » Tue Nov 19, 2013 2:07 am

Can anybody explain how to avoid getting sawtooth edges when mapping? I cannot seem to get my head around it...

    Any help is appreciated!

What I mean is that the edges for a line or an image becomes jagged when mapped on to a surface. If working in 3D max I would say that the Antialiasing is to low when I get jagged edges on objects... I'm not sure that made it any clearer...:)
I've attached a snapshot that illustrates the problem

is it a problem you see inside of madmapper or on the projected surface?
In the second scenario, what type of projector are you using? if the resolution of your projector is too low, you will definitely have that problem

    It's on the projected surface.
    I am using a optoma, 3000 lumens, resolution 1024x768.
Distance from projector to surface: about 1 - 2 meters...
    Ouput in madmapper 1024x768

you should see the projector's pixel matrix on your projected surface. this is how precise you can be…
