Hi Forum,

After much researching, We bought a iMac 2013 model 21.5 inch with nvidia graphics. I also downloaded madmapper and modeul 8 trials. so far the software experience has been rly good. I want to clarify the edge blending aspect of video mapping.

What is the most practical and stable solution for Edge blending ? Awaiting your feedback

Now that MadMapper 1.6.0 is released, I can tell you that soft-edge is planned for 1.7

Can vouch for BlendyVJ - used it many times and had really good results with enough control to dial things in between my 3 projector setup.

The developer Roger was very pleasant to deal with as well when I emailed him with some questions.

Please try 1.7 alpha, it has edge blending.

Make 2 overlapping quads with correct texture cropping, select both quads and enable Soft Edge, then click Auto Setup.
Sorry about the brief instructions, but we're working on a complete tutorial for the final release.

Hi,

I am working on 360 degrees video mapping installation with 3 projectors and I desperately need to use edge blending. I prefer to use something which is part of Madmapper instead of using something like blendy.

I know it's in Alpha state but is it bad idea to use for the project? What is the issue? Please let me know. Thanks!
