    5 Outputs - 1 TH2GO & DH2GO? 1 Laptop

    by Basic » Tue Nov 04, 2014 8:20 am

    Hello Everyone,

I have a gig coming up where I will need 5 outputs running from my laptop. I am aware that running a MBP only has 1 output so here is my question.

Can I send video from a MBP say at resolution of 6400x720 so work across 5 screens. Essentially I will be projecting onto a super wide screen with 5 projectors next to each other.

So could I somehow daisy chain a TH2GO & a DH2GO to give me the 5 required outputs? I will be using Modul8 as the playback software and know that I am unable to use the advanced output as I only have 1 GPU.

I have additionally sourced a media server with the capability of multiple outputs but I do wonder if I could do this on my laptop.

Once concern would be playback of files of that 6400x720.

Any and all help would be fantastic. Even pointing me in the right direction would be great.

    Thanks for your time,
    Liam :)

it will work theoretically but don't expect decent performance ....
    consider renting a MAcPro instead

Thanks franz. I have been looking at media servers with the ability to output 6 outputs. I was hoping for a cheaper option but not to worry :)

I understand there is a spatial scanner using structured light, but I am not sure how this is usable. Is there a proper projector calibration procedure (eg opencv etc).
