    osc messages from Qlab

    by panicoescenico » Tue Jun 16, 2015 8:45 pm

    Has anybody tested to send OSC Messages from Qlab 3 to Madmapper, i can't get to make them listen one to the other.

    i know with lxconsole (light control software) the syntax to send a GO message is /cmd.lxconsole/GO 1

    i'm interested in sending OSC to control fixtures luminosity from Qlab i can't make work this syntax... surfaces/[selected OR surfaceName]/fixtureLuminosity (FLOAT 0.0 to 1.0)

    any ideas?

    Hi,
    I just tested from Vezér putting an OSC float value (0.0 to 1.0) on address: "/surfaces/Fixture 1/fixtureLuminosity" and it works.
    What address do you put ?
    What OSC value are you sending ? (integer ? float ? string ?)
    Cheers,
    Matt

    i got it working now, (thanks mad-matt)

    but i only can send from Qlab a single value per cue.
    i'm sending float

    p.e.
    Cue 1 -> /surfaces/Fixture 1/fixtureLuminosity 0,0
    Cue 2 -> /surfaces/Fixture 1/fixtureLuminosity 1,0

    Without Vezer (only with Qlab) i don't know how to automate something as a fader or a curve.

    I don't know much about OSC control commands

    Hi,
    I don't know QLab but I'm sure QLab support will direct you to the right tutorial.
    Cheers,
    Matt
