Hi!
Fair warning, I'm a bit of a noob at this and a student but I've been doing a ton of research into projection mapping because I want to create a permanent installation display for an organization I work for on campus. I want to create a set of 3D pyramids almost exactly the same as the project featured in this demo: http://play.moveplaycreate.com/post/34068227716/learning-the-basics-of-projection-mapping
My only problem is that I don't want it to be controlled by processing but rather a looping animation of some kind. I have After Effects experience and could easily make some fun animations and apply them to the installation like shown in this tutorial: http://www.madmapper.com/after-effects-madmapper-how-to-map-a-building/
At first I thought, perfect I will create it in Mad Mapper and then sync it with a miniMAD for permanent display. Unfortunately though the minimad only supports triangles and squares and I would need mesh warping and I would like to avoid having a laptop stationed with the projector at all times. I know my shapes are all triangles but to get them to sync up I would have to slice an animation into tons of weird triangles and position them.
If anyone has a solution I'd be very grateful.
