Hello All...

I hope I'm in the right place..

I am planning an outdoor event to take place towards the end of this year.. and i plan to lay approx 4,000 linear meters (yup 4km) of RGB LED with a few thousand channels..

Think (a real life tron grid spanning 1500 sq meters)

Anyway.. I need some help with this mental plan.

I was planning to use MadLight.. but I don't know where to start with planning it and creating the awesome effects im hoping for..

I can offer reasonable money, enormous gratitude and maybe more importantly... huge credit for this (it will attract big news coverage and would be very high profile for who ever is brave enough to help)

I would be very grateful for any feedback with my wild and probably silly plan. (ps.. based in London.)

a good point to begin is how many leds you want per meter, because this affects:
-Which type of leds
-power source
-controller
-wiring
etc.

You can control up to 4096 universes with MadMapper (so 725.000 LEDs). The problem at some point is the network, but you shouldn't reach this issue with a 1 GB network, good routers and good LED controllers.
We have an installation running with more than 400 universes.
