Sync 3D camera lens with Projector lens?

Postby AgentD » Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:53 pm

I am working on a projection mapping installation where I need to project onto a 3D object. I am have the 3D model of the object and the space in Maya. The installation will take place at a venue where I don't have access now but I have the exact measurement of where the projector will be placed. What I am trying to do is to set the camera lens exactly the same as the projector's lens so that when I go to the venue to install the video that I am making will match to the surface of the object.

Is there any way that you can sync the 3D camera lens to the projector's? In other words is there way to know exactly what the project will see?

The specs of the Projector's lens are:

Zoom   1.5 to 2.9:1

F = 2.0 to 3.4
f = 21.5 mm to 43.0 mm

Thanks millions in advance!

The 3D camera lens is fantastic for scene shots, however for masterful shots with the close protest close, it would have hindered the far articles and foundation. also that there is an utmost to how close the concentration can be. Wide-point and close-focussing focal points will make such shots less demanding to make. You can write essay for me and I will tell you in details.
