Are you on Windows ? Which version ?
Normally, you enter the serial number, press "next" and a windows dialog should open askin administrator priviledges. Does it show up ?
If not, you should try to activate from an administrator account ? There's an issue actually on some windows depending on system settings and from limited user accounts. We're looking at it at the moment.
