    configure Pixie Driver Enttec

    by mobyblack » Sun Feb 11, 2018 2:14 pm

    Hi everyone,

I just buy a pixie driver from enttec for control led strip WS2812b
I configure the pixie on the enttec software, and choose the category of led and save. It's work fine on the enttec soft.
But when I start MM It's change each time the type of led on the controler to WS2812, so I have problem of adress and color.

Do you see a solution ?
    Thanks

No, MadMapper will only use one of the outputs. We'll refactor that part at some point to be more flexible, but when using many universes, using ArtNet is better anyway better there are synchronisation mechanisms.

One solution at the moment: on Mac you can use MadRouter to route two artnet universes to each output of your Enttec Mk2 (and even more USB-DMX devices if you want...)

By the way I'm in communication with the support from Enttec for see if it's a hardware problem

    Hello,

I just try with MadRouteur, the problem is I can't found my Enttec Mk2 on the control device, but I can found sound cart or other device.
And my Enttec work's well on madmapper ?

    Any solution

    Thanks a lot

If MadMapper opened the Enttec, the USB port will not be available for MadRouter. The first app which opens the Enttec will have it exclusively, so you should start MadRouter first !

MadMapper can open the Enttec USB (pro or Mk2) with both possible drivers (VCP-Simple Serial or D2XX) while the old version of MadRouter could only use VCP.
Please try to download latest MadRouter and let me know.
If it doesn't work, use FTDIDriverControl to switch driver: http://macdownload.informer.com/ftdidrivercontrol/

I was already using the latest version of madrouteur, but I re-downloaded the last one on "Myspace" and also reinstalled the last FTDI driver. and still not working
Tonight I will try with another Mac.
    But I don't see a solution ...

    Thanks.

I keep trying, for now MadRouteur don't want to start if my Enttec its plugged. And when I plug the Enttec when MadRouteur is started 1 time on two MadRouteur quit alone...

    I'm a bit disappointed
