3.6.2 version not working on Mac

    by Oaktown » Thu Nov 29, 2018 5:39 pm

I just updated to 3.6.2 on my MacBook Pro running 10.14.1 and I keep getting the spinning disc. Any idea what could be the issue?

UPDATE: I tried uninstalling all versions (I had an old beta version) and reinstalling 3.6.2 to no avail. I also tried reinstalling an older version (3.2.3) I had on my computer and I'm getting the same issue!

Correct. Is it crashing on startup ? Did you try redownloading ? Any crashlog ?
What version were you running before ?

Yes I completely uninstalled all version and re-downloaded the newest version to no avail. I believe I was running the most current version before which I assume was 3.6.1.

The app becomes unresponsive on startup. Where would I find the crashlog?

After multiple restarts of the MBP, MadMapper ended running normal until I opened the MadLight recorder and connecting/disconnecting an Enttec USB Pro unit. After I disconnect the unit, MadMapper starts behaving sluggishly and I have to force quit.

There is no such known issue. Could you check MadMapper CPU usage in Activity Monitor ? Did you install nVidia web driver (not recommended) or use the native apple driver ?
Could you send a support request to support[at]garagecube[dot]com specifying it's for Matthieu, we'll try to understand where your issue is coming form.

Thanks mad-matt! It appears that 3.6.3 fixed that odd behavior and everything seems to be working fine.

I'm having the same problem, beach balling with mouse movement. Last show 3 months ago MM worked great, did the 3.6.3 upgrade and noticed problem, downgraded to previous version 3.5 something, still no good. Back to current v. and struggles to boot, and does the same 'ol beach ball crap. Running Mac OS 10.14.2. Help!

That's a known issue. We just updated to 3.6.4. Please re-download. Sorry for the issue. We found the issue soon after release but it was vacacions and we delayed the update to 3.6.4 since this problem only happens in particular screen setups.
