Scenes: when replacing video the play length can't be adjusted

I've noticed that when I made a pre-built of a mapping, that when I have a certain clip in a scene and replace it, it's impossible to adjust the length to the newer longer video. Say the old video is 1:05 and the new clip 1:10.
It just cuts off at the end off the previous clip so the new clip gets an stop at 1:05 instead of 1:10.
Have tried to update with the new clip and adjust the loop length to 1:10 but it just says the length but when played it's still cuts of at the timing of the previous video 1:05.
Do I miss something? or does this mean I have to make a new scene when the new video has a different length.
