Hi,

MadMapper 3.6.5 is crashing nearly every time I disconnect an active projector, on a 2016 Macbook Pro Retina w/ OSX 10.13.6. This isn't an issue if I'm extra careful not to touch my USB-C-to-HDMI adapter, but USB-C ports are not the most secure ports in general. Momentary disconnects are wreaking havoc in my live setup as MM crashes after almost every time.

I don't recall this happening with earlier 3.6.x versions but I'm not sure exactly when I first observed this.

Anyone else hitting this issue?

Unfortunately I'm still hitting crashes often, when disconnecting a projector from my 2016 Macbook Pro (OSX 10.13.6), this time with Madmapper 3.6.7.

I've noticed the issue when disconnecting either of my two projectors (both Optoma brand, but different models), as well as with a variety of USB-C-to-HDMI dongles.

It doesn't seem to be related to the physical connection, as I notice this even when I simply power off the projector (while leaving the cables inserted). I'm usually running MM in full screen mode when this happens.

I hit 3 crashes in a 1-hour span yesterday. Since MM has no autosave feature, I've lost a decent amount of work from these crashes..

We're aware of this issue but couldn't find a setup to reproduce it. That's the most common crash logs pattern we receive. Most other issues are related to deprecated software (some Quartz composer things) / unstable drivers (mostly on Windows) and some others.
We'd be interested to fix that one, we spent days trying to reproduce it.
Could you describe your setup ? Hardware (connected projectors & screens), macOS version, display settings (screenshots) etc.

Sure thing, I'm away from my projector setup for the next few days but I'll report back with hardware details shortly.

Would it help if I also sent a MM project file, or any other files other than screenshots of MM settings?

Sure it would help. Btw are you using hardware accelerated movie decoding ? Can you reproduce the issue with only materials ?

Sorry for the delay, I was traveling and also migrated to a new computer. I couldn't attach most of the files due to size limits, so I've sent everything over email.
