I have sometimes had issues in MM running on 10.9.5 with creating my scenes with video restart not working.
So inspector > video name > restart highlight > checkbox > update. Am I missing anything?

Is the "Value" checkbox checked (clue) for the movie restart entry in the scene ? "Update from current values" shouldn't appear for this property since it is an action, not a property of the media.
