How to set-up camera for Spatial Scanner?

I'm still confused how to get my camera to show up in Madmapper on my Mac OSX 10.14.6.
I have a Canon EOS 5D mk IV. According to compatibility documents it is compatible with the EDSDK v. 3.6
But when i plug it in nothing happens. Is there any setting on the camera or in my laptop i need to adjust?
What is the procedure? Should it be usb, or HDMI?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You have to connect the camera with USB. The camera should ask you (on the camera screen) if you accept USB connection. Then it should appear in MadMapper. Cheers!

Plugging the 5D mk 4 into the computer via USB produces no such response.
Icon of computer shows on camera screen, but nothing happens. Only FaceTime camera is available in Madmapper.
Can you please explain? Is there some other software i need to download or have running?

The Canon camera will not appear in the media list, only in the camera choice combox of the Spatial Scanner dialog. Doesn't it appear there ?

Ok. Solved this. (Yay!)
For anyone else having trouble using a Canon 5D Mark IV with the Spatial Scanner
on a Mac running OSX 10.15.2 as of January 2020…
The 5DmkIV doesn't seem to like communicating via the USB cable.
However, connecting the camera to the Mac via the Camera's WiFi allows the Scanner to work flawlessly.
*Note, this is not a MadMapper issue. It seems to be a Canon problem.
(The camera won't even talk to the Canon Utility via a USB cable.)
But yeah, finally got it working.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help.

Yes Canon developers sent us a mail to say the SDK is not working with 10.15.2. As soon as we get an update, we'll release a new 3.7.x version. Their mail:
We would like to let you know a compatibility issue between the latest macOS Catalina (10.15.2) and EDSDK.
The latest version of macOS Catalina 10.15.2 was released by Apple on December 11, 2019. Following testing of this version at Canon, we are aware of a USB connection issue between EDSDK and the new OS version. Your applications that use EDSDK will not be able to communicate with EOS/PowerShot cameras on macOS 10.15.2. Camera Control, Liveview, Remote shooting and Image transfer will fail. There is no problem on the former version of macOS Catalina (10.15.0 and 10.15.1).
Our R&D team is now investigating the issue and preparing to release new versions of EDSDK to fix it. We’d like to ask you to refrain from updating macOS to 10.15.2 until the fix is released. The release schedule hasn’t been confirmed yet. We’ll update you as soon as we confirm the release date.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
Canon Developer Programme Admin team

Has the problem above been resolved?
I am using camera canon 90d.
It doesn't work as a scanner.
The madmapper uses 3.7.6.
Please check.
