    PS4 and Bluetooth Mouse Conflict with MADMAPPER

    by descalxo » Fri Sep 27, 2019 5:45 am

    Since I update to MOJAVE on my Macbook Pro 15 2015 i have this issue. I use a Microsoft bluetooth mouse since I own this Mac. Also I generally use 2 PS4 controller at the same time. Now, every time I open MadMapper, the mouse stops moving, and the funny thing is when I try to assign something to control with the PS4 controller, whenever I use the Learn option or the manual option, the one that controls the assignment is the mouse. Also when I have 2 PS4 controller at the same time, the oposite controller I try to map to assign something is the one that works. When I quit MadMapper, everything goes back to normal again, I can use my mouse normally and also I can use 2 PS4 controllers to play a game. Also, when I turn off the mouse or the PS4 controller, I can use either of them normally on MadMapper, but only when I have one connected at the time.

    Does anybody have an idea of what is going or if is there any way to solve it?

    Thanx in advance

    That's weird. In MadMapper we check the vendor ID and product ID of HID devices and ignore any other than DualShock 3 & 4 controllers:
    vendor_id == 0x054C (Sony)
    product_id == 0x0268 // Playstation Dualshock 3
    or 0x05c4 // Playstation Dualshock 4
    or 0x09CC // Dualshock 4 (PS4 Slim)
    So the Microsoft mouse shouldn't interfere.

    Which version of MadMapper are you using ?
    What's the mouse exact model ?

    Wow. That's impressive. The fact that we receive the mouse as a control is really weird. Look like the problem comes from a library we're using. Can you send me the exact model of your microsoft mouse ? I'll order one for fixing this.

    Of course, the mouse model is the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse, this is the website for reference:

    Thank you for the quick response.
