Driving LED strips in 3D geometry

    by jon_garageCube » Sun Mar 01, 2020 10:37 pm

Hi , I have made some artnet enabled monochrome light strips, similar to the LEd by garageCube. I cannot find anywhere information how i can put a 3D led geometry into madmapper. I found one tutorial using cinema4d but this is out of my price range.

I want to assemble an icosahedron with 30 strips (as shown in the garageCube website) and drive it with madmapper. Any pointers really appreciate - thanks!

You have to "unfold" your shape in to a 2D representation. Check this example: https://1024d.wordpress.com/page/7/
