    Camera Timing-Out

    by caneron » Thu Oct 22, 2020 9:10 pm

I have an installation that's using a camera, and it periodically freezes. As in: MM still works great, but the camera seems to time out. Is there a way to make sure the camera stays active? Relaunching MM always gets it back up and running but that isn't a full proof solution. Any ideas?

I have four of these installed and this is the only one with the problem.

We're missing data here: macOS or Windows ?
What camera ? How is it connected to the computer ? If it needs drivers, are they up to date ?
After how long does it freeze ?

    Windows Box
It was connected via USB3 with an active extender.
What solved it was using a USB3 active extender with external power!
