Hey guys =)

I've been trying to send device parameter change to Madmapper from Ableton without success.

Current setup:
- Windows OS
- Using Midi Loopback properly configured in Ableton (output) and Madmapper (Input)
- I can get notes to trigger MM effects by having a dedicated Midi channel with a Midi TO set to the midi loopback created
- Ableton Link enabled and working on both Ableton and Madmapper (ASIO drivers)

What I'm trying to get to is that when I move one of the macro knob, which is tied to an instrument device (see attached picture), I want it to send a Midi CC to Madmappe.

Example result would be to get an increased opacity of a madmapper material relative to the "drive" macro in ableton

I think you have to assign a midi control on your macro knob and use that same midi control in madmapper.
Or use a max4live to emit midi cc from a marco knob.
Macro knobs in Ableton Live don't send midi as far as I recall.
I might be wrong tho'

I'll test the step before then - how do you even send a midi event from a midi track that already have an instrument (thus removing the "midi to" box) - I was hoping that in the general MIDI settings, since I'm using a midi loopback in Ableton OUT and Madmapper IN would work but somehow it's as if Madmapper is receiving no MIDI requests at all :/ *stumped*

Booya - I've found something that works quite easily (thx for putting me on the right track Franz)

- Need Ableton MAX for live connection pack

- Add "OSC Send" After any instrument on a MIDI track
- Set port to match Madmapper

Done. even with Macro knobs. Can't believe how easy that was.
