Constant stutter on output

This is probably not an issue with Madmapper, but something that happens later in chain.

I have a PC (win 10), MadMapper 3.7.8 , with NVIDIA GeForce Titan X 12GB, going to three Datapaths FX4. Each Datapath is connected to three projectors. So far, so good.

The issue is constant stuttering happening at the output. It happens aproximately once a second, in steady rhythm. I know it is not related to the video I made, because the same stutter happens also if I play built in Madmapper materials. It is most visible with horizontal scrolls, and absolutely terrible with a certain speeds of zoom.

I tried changing display settings, but there is not much I can do. Apparently Datapath only allows 30Hz over HDMI lines, and that is what I can get in Windows system settings.

Any help is appreciated.

0. make sure you've got the latest nvidia studio driver (not game ready)
1. does the stutter happens with only one output monitor connected (no datapath) ?
2. does the stutter happens with only 1 datapath ?

3. in madmapper /preferences / engine, are you in directx or opengl ?
directx should be preferred.

4. in madmapper / preferences / engine,
- check "use maximum priority"
- uncheck "use double buffering for previews"

5. if your video files are @30 fps and your datapaths are @30Hz,
then in madmapper / preferences / engine, set your framerate to 30 instead of "Auto"

6. report back here so that it helps other users as well.
