Workspace - I can’t save project to external hard drive since v6

Hi,
Since updating to MadMapper 6, I’m no longer able to save projects directly to my external hard drive.
Every time I try, I get this message:
“Your project has to be saved in its Workspace. Use Export Project… to get your project and attached resources in a new Project Folder.”

I used to save my projects directly to an external drive without any issues in previous versions.

Thanks for your help!

I understand the confusion. The idea is: MadMapper project file now must be saved in its project folder. If you want to move your project to another drive, you have to move the project folder. You can do it manually from file browser. Or you can use MadMapper / File / Export Project to to save it to another location (it will make a new project folder with all required dependencies: library resources - materials,fx etc. - audio / movie files if necessary).

Thanks Matt for the explanation.
However, I did try using File > Export Project… and I get exactly the same error message when I choose my external hard drive as the destination.
At the moment, the only workflow that works for me is:
1. Save the project locally (in a random folder on my internal drive).
2. Manually move the entire project folder to the external drive.

This adds quite a few extra steps to the workflow compared to the way it worked before v6 (and every other sofware).

I understand the idea behind having a dedicated project folder, but It feels a bit odd not to be able to save or export directly to an external drive
To be honest, I’ve never seen any other software that doesn’t allow saving directly to the location of your choice, including an external drive It almost looks like a bug.
