    Fullscreen slow down

    by utopiko » Tue Apr 17, 2012 12:01 am

    Hello all,

Is it normal that when I output/fullscreen, the animation is slower ?
I tried the new version 1.1 in demo mode, and its the same thing.

I import the visual through Syphon from Processing.

    It should not be slower.
However, if you're using your GPU heavily,
outputting fullscreen means drawing a lot of pixels on top of your processing patch,
    and this might slow down.
Of course it depends what's your config / GPU ...

    Hi, thanks for this.

    Well my setting is basic,
it runs on a Mac Mini is a 2.5 GHz dual Intel Core i5
with 4GB RAM, an AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics .

Of course when I output a small version in processing ( 960x640 instead of 1920x1080)
    then its smoother...

Are they additional configuration I can make to optimize Madmapper ?

Can you run ACTIVITY MONITOR whilst running at "full tilt" and post your findings ?

    Regards

This is what it looks like.
Feedthefire is the app from processing.
    I'll eventually cut dropbox...

Is there something you see ?
