what do you mean by sideways ?
upside down ? flipped ?
I've never seen this...
What is the file format of your image ? jpg ?

Using .jpeg
So instead of importing right side up, it is turned 90 degrees onto its side.

Hi again,
I've been unable to reproduce your problem.
If anybody shows up with a step by step explanation on how to reproduce the problem 100% of the time,
I'll be happy to send this person a free MadMapper TShirt as a gift for helping us correcting a bug.

Hey Franz!
I am having a problem with the preview window. I have set the stage size to 1920 x 1080. When I load a preview jpeg which is 1920 x 1080 it goes tiny up in the left corner of the stage

are you using the background via the Output/Projector tab ?

No, just loading a 2400/600 image via the menu View and then change the background preview....

so maybe you have to set the stage size (in the master tab) to 2400*600 first.
