which version of MM are you using ?
What is your os/gfx card ?
What camera are you using ?
First time we hear of this behaviour...
Are you sure your projector is connected ?

MM 1.2
mac book pro, snow leopard, Nvidia's GeForce 9400M
canon EOS rebel xs
yes, projector is connected. when I open full screen output for basic projection, the projector displays properly. But, when I open up the scanner, and hit scan, the image the projector is showing is now the desktop, and my lap top screen has numerous lines and flashing.

does MM correctly sees the Rebel XS ?
Do you have the preview from the camera in MM ?
(it should be listed in the avaiable camera, along with the isight)
I have a Rebel XT at the office, it works, but I haven't checked with a rebel XS.
Meanwhile, can you contact the support, as your problem is rather strange/unusual

yes. MM recognizes the Rebel and I can see a preview. What I do not see, or do not have an option of choosing, is the size of the output, located next to where the available camera is.

Can you use the spacial scanner and a camera to create a layer file of a 3 dimensional box structure and then turn into grid warping for each layer with about 38 sections in a short space of time?
