have canon EOS 5D mark II and wanted to use spatial scanner,
but the madmapper does not recognized my camera, however I tried it led to no result, I coonec the camera via USB cable,
when I open the madmapper, the camera is not shown,
but I use a sony video camera and connected it via firewire and it worked,
does it need a special software or setting ?

you should be in manual mode, manual focus, speed 1/40
you should have a sd card in the camera
picture mode should be jpeg, S (no raw)
you should use a ferrite usb cable

if it's not recognized, restart the computer, restart madmapper,
then restart the camera,
plug the camera to the computer using usb
go to the space scanner

you should see your camera listed and have a preview on screen
