Hi everyone! I am creating an installation in the following weeks, and time is running short. Due to some delays from UPS, who I know hate, I have not been able to try and setup the prototype for the actual installation that is next week, until now.

Long story short.

I have an analog RGB Led Strip.
I have a 24ch Decoder, 3amps per channel. 3-pin DMX out (http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/56731 ... coder.html).
I have a USB PRO MK2 connected to the decoder, and the computer.

I use channel 1 for my first Fixture.
I have installed the Driver (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm)
And this Driver (http://www.enttec.com/dmx_usb/D2XX1.1.10.dmg) both linked at http://www.enttec.com/?main_menu=Products&pn=70314

I choose the USB in the drop down of my MM preferences as DMX out and everything seems OK.

Except that my LED Strip is not reacting at all.

Any clues why? The power supply seems to be well enough. It's shining constantly Red. The dips on the decoder are at 1 just as the dips. My setup is very similar to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BbYsPzyTQU, except I am using MM, the MK2, only one strip of light, and a proper decoder.

I have included three screenshots of the settings. The settings at the DMX Output seems to jump back and not stay at the selected choice.

If anyone is a complete newb with electronics, with voltage, with f.... amperes, with xlr. Contact me and we can suffer through it together.

My mistake was simple.

I had not allowed the decoder with the dip to accept dmx in.

so, how (where) do you allow the decoder with the dip to accept dmx in?

you should have a documentation explaining how to set the dip switch… like having the last switch to on or off usually

Hi everyone,

We´ve checked the Enttec DmxUsbPro. It works properly, as we are able to control a 9 channel par led with a lighting software.
We cannot control the same par led with the MadMapper as it does not have a 3channel mode available, however we do have 3 white led stripes connected to this type of decoder as I attach on the photo (px24506) and it does not work neither with our lighting software nor with MadMapper.

All the connections are checked. Everything seems to be ok.
The only thing we can think of is that something is going on with the "led dimmer".
As jnsjohansson said before "I had not allowed the decoder with the dip to accept dmx in".
We don´t really know how to do it. There are no specifications of that kind on the data sheet.

Can anyone give an advice please?
It´s so frustraiting =(

whats your situation, what have you done, what kind of equipment do you have, which versions are you using etc.?
