Ok 5 meter isn't very much. If I would only need another DMX controller that would ok but another ODE would cost a lot more.

Maybe there is another way. If I would only have adressable LED stripes in one color then I would have more adresses for LEDs and more meter of stripes. Must be 15 meter am I right?

Do you know if there are stripes on the market and what controller i would need?

I'm waiting on an ARTNET device from ebay that will have 6 DMX outputs for 6 separate universes (3072 dmx addresses) - http://www.ebay.com/itm/221303149077?ss ... 1497.l2649 to hopefully handle all the pixels I'll need for the time being. At $129 USD it seemed like the most cost effective solution for the amount of dmx addresses it has - better than buying multiple Enttec devices anyhow.

I haven't looked into single colour addressable LED strips - but I assume you would be correct in saying they take up less dmx addresses compared to RGB strips. If this is the case you could have 3 single colour strips taking up the same amount of dmx as 1 RGB. It would probably be more cost effective this way as well, unless you required RGB for a certain look or effect.. I went with RGB to use with mad_eq :)

I've been doing a lot of led browsing at www.aliexpress.com for what's available, and for the best price. You really get a better idea about all the different styles and types available (so many options!).

I am unsure why you do not let people know that it is a readily available product AND cheap... available in cool white, warm white and rgb with all the accessories

where is the site you found these on? I am interested to see these.
