    Memory leak with USB DMX Pro?

    by benpurdy » Sun Jan 05, 2014 11:07 am

    I've tried both an enttec DMX USB Pro, and the Mk2, when using either one the memory and CPU utilization of madmapper slowly climb. As soon as I set the DMX Output setting to "none" the memory and CPU drop back to a normal, steady level. Selecting one of the Artnet options also gets rid of the problem, it only occurs with the USB devices.

    The memory climbs at about 1 MB every 10 seconds or so, CPU usage creeps up slower and is harder to measure since it tends to bounce around a little as it climbs.. After about 25 minutes the CPU usage is up to 63% and climbing, normally it sits around 20% at all times.

    Has anybody else experienced this? I'm nervous about using it for a long set when it appears to be leaking..

    My setup:

    late 2013 macbook pro running OS X 10.9 (13A3017)
    VDMX -> Madmapper via syphon
