Fullscreen output window changes size when projector restart

So I have this permanent installation mapped onto a sculpture and when I turn the projector off then on again the mapped image completely changes size, but the res on the projector is still the same...

After a few hours we found out that if you save and quit madmapper before you turn off the projector and then turn you need to turn the projector on before opening madmapper everything is ok. Problem is I would prefer not to run a script for this process as it can become a less robust system.

Is it possible you can fix it in an update?

Thanks.

its not madmapper, its the way macs handle external screens.
use a DVI parrot or some other EDID recorder and your problem will go away

Hi deepvisual. Thanks for the reply. If I can avoid further purchases re this issue it would be preferable. I am also running Vga.

It seems that the mac os already has some kind of inbuilt software that overcomes the issue, as I mentioned in the first post, it's when madmapper is running when the projector shuts down and boots up that creates the problem. If I close madmapper then shut down the projector and then open madmapper AFTER turning on the projector, the mapped image is perfectly on target.

Why wouldn't you turn the mac off at the same time as the projector, then turn it on with the projector too? It's no big deal to have your mac opening your project at startup.
