    Lagging PhotoJPG Video

    by nilsinger » Thu Feb 19, 2015 8:04 pm

    Hey,

    I have a 3min Video 3,6GB 1920x1080px Quicktime PhotoJPG compression with 24fps and 235Mbit/s datarate

Currently running with Madmapper it lags quite much.

I'm working with my old (but reliable) MacBook Pro 2,5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; 2GB DDR2 SDRAM; Geforce 8600M 512MB

Can anyone tell me if there is a better way concering the compression or is my computer too slow?

    thanks in advance

PhotoJPEG is interresting if you have to play your movies in different directions, or if you seek a lot. But for simple forward playback, H264 is better.

In MadMapper 2, HAP is very very fast but only works in OSX 10.10 or later.
