Stuttering / Juddering when looping around

    by loglesby » Wed Mar 09, 2016 12:01 am

I have a wide format video (5440x1200, H265 encoding, 13.1MB file size) that is intended to be a looping background in my project. Unfortunately, MadMapper will judder or stutter to varying degrees whenever the media loops back to the start.

This is on a quad core Mac Pro with 32GB of RAM. MadMapper does not seem to have any options to tweak for things like ensuring media is stored fully in RAM. Ticking the "Use Hardware Acceleration" box just results in a black preview pane and a black output.

Can anyone help me understand how I can get around this?

    Thanks in advance.

please encode in H264 if only playing forward, or HAP if playing in any directions.
    Does that change anything ?

Meanwhile you can contact the support and send them your file for inspection.

    Works a treat! :D

Hadn't came across this codec before (HAP), thanks for the heads up!
