    madmapper DMX output freezes

    by ahao13 » Mon Apr 11, 2016 5:08 pm

    Hi,
i have a consistent problem with madmapper 1.5 and my friend wit 2.2.2.
We created DMX fixtures for rgb ledstrips, with artnet. After a while it freezes whenever the interface is hidding or when we are working in a other software like resolume or ableton.

The weird thing is that it starts working when we open madmapper interface again and you have to select a random fixture or click somewhere in the fixture inputs list.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? Pretty annoying...

    greets,
    Thomas

    never heard of that.
    we'll check.
meanwhile, you can collapse mad mapper's interface by clicking the little arrow on the top right of the LEFT column,
    or pressing CMD-Shif-V
This will reduce processing consumption while keeping MM at full speed.
If you're still on the 1.x branch, please download MM version 1.7.3 and let me know if the problem persists.
On the 2.x branch please update to the latest version (so far 2.2.5)

sounds similar to an App Nap problem??

Try this on Madmapper and your other applications.

did you minimize the output window? in 1.5 the dmx output would freeze if you minimize the output window.
