I was just thinking that if we could send single layer to madmapper ,
then we could have more inputs from one modul8?

has someone tried this?

To send different M8 layers to different surface in MadMapper, position them and in MM surface input, just choose the part of the Syphon stream that corresponds to the content you want to display on this surface.

So then 10 is the max that we can achieve ?

Maybe 20 if we prepare the material that there are 2 video in one stream.

But the flexibility you win with modul8 gets lost with this concept,or?





prior there was mad doubler , but this mad app isn´t working anymore.

so after some time of development I thought it would be cool if "we" had

more access to different sources that are preprocessed in M8 and

then implemented into our mappings.

if there is a better solution I would love to see it.

If you just want to playback movies / quartz / cameras, you should use MadMapper 2.X, it has multi input so you can play 50 movies at a time if you want (until your hardware is performant enough)
If you need real-time control features of Modul8, modules and stuffs you cannot find in MM, then yes, you're limited to the number of layers in M8...

You are right, that´s enough for most of the jobs. But sometimes it would be nice
if we could address more than one output to MM and not having it composed to
a picture in picture.

I will give the version of the 50 inputs a try and check how this works.
